The current Rams team has some similarities to the 1999 Rams in terms of coming out of nowhere and having a potent offense. Thinking back to those Rams teams, I pulled out copies of their games. It occurred to me that the '00 season ended with an oh-oh. I'm sure most of you will immediately remember. Late in the season, the Rams rode the shoulders of Marshall Faulk (who won the MVP that year) into the playoffs. They fell way behind the Saints in the playoffs but then mounted a big comeback. The Saints defense was gassed. The Rams were able to score at will, and it was clear that the Saints wouldn't be able to stop them. Late in the game, the Rams were about to get the ball back, and they would surely drive down the field to pull out a great comeback victory. But then it happened...
