Far too early to make such a sweeping statement, IMO.
About the Wentz vs Goff choice for the Rams...
Wentz was in the zone yesterday. He was completing otherworldly throws time after time. Real jawdroppers. When a QB is doing that and his receivers are making fingertip “back half” of the ball catches, what can you do? Especially without your 2 starting outside CB’s?
But, tbh, I still think the Rams chose the better QB, at least for them. For one thing, Goff is far more likely to remain healthy. A style of play thing.
I do think that both will prove to be outstanding QB’s that, when all is said and done, will have many a playoff win between them.
About that strip fumble play...
Honestly, it was a perfect storm of events that worked to the Rams disadvantage. Darrell Williams comes in to sub for an injured Hav. McVay calls for a slow developing deep pattern (this was probably the biggest error), Goff loses track of time and gets stripped.
Any one of those factors is deleted and we’re not having this conversation, IMO. Turned out to be the backbreaker in a close game. Sigh...
