It truly seems to me that the 'baseline' for executing offense and defense on the field has steadily improved since game one. Obviously there have been stumbles... but despite a step back here and there overall today's team I think far more capable of confronting those big games than they were then...and even THEN, like you say, the 'could' have won.
Of course, that applies to Seattle as well... but I think to a lesser extent, IMO. - JamesJM
I agree that the Rams have improved tremendously, JM. It's one of the things that I really like about this team. But the defensive front isn't what it once was: Quinn is a shell of himself; he has zero burst, none. The linebackers are often ineffective. I just don't think the defense is capable of bothering Wilson enough for the Rams to have a chance.
