I’m originally from Central CA and became a Ram fan n ‘70. Like many of you I fell in love with horns.
I moved out of CA in 91 and eventually moved to New Zealand, yes Middle Earth, in ‘03. Haven’t been to a Ram’s home game sinc ‘94.
I had purchased airfare for a NZ to LAX trip for 14 Dec and was planning to attend 9’ers @ Rams, 31 Dec game. Never been to the Colisiueum, and even though I attended THE Long Beach State, never even seen the stadium. Was greatly looking forward to my one opportunity to see MY team play in the old, but glorious Coliseum!
About 8 weeks ago got a nasty elbow infection. 3 weeks ago I slipped and fell, on concrete no less, smack dab on said elbow. Been in the hospital 14 days and counting. Just confirmed that I won’t be able to fly to the US next month. This is the first flight I have ever missed - EVER!
Obviously bummed, but will suvive. Planning a trip for next Dec-Jan, hope to attend a home game then.
For those of you who will be at the last game of the season, a moment of silence as I watch from home would be greatly appreciated!
What lousy timing. But all things happen for a reason so what you need to do now is heal up, take care of yourself (stop falling!), and then make that trip next year. Hopefully the year will pass quickly for you and before you know it you'll be watching the Rams in person cheering them on to victory. Get well soon, Beachboy!
