Remember this is a great place to live and I suspect it doesn't bother the players as much as the fans. If the Vikings came to L.A. there would be a HUGE contingent of Viking fans-not those who travel here-but those who LIVE here. That's an issue that we will always face simply because it IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE.
It wasn't always this way though. The Rams came here in 1946 and while I was growing up I recall the Coliseum rocking with up to 100,000 fans the vast majority of them Ram fans. But then the post war boom due to the weather and growth of housing in vast open spaces plus the aircraft industry opening up jobs, etc, etc. people from all over this country began arriving and bringing with them their football fandom.
