There just is no way to recover what Chancellor and Sherman bring to the D. Especially at mid-season. If it was training camp, you'd have time to reshuffle and plug some holes.
But at this point, you can only nibble at the edges and pick up cast-offs from other teams especially since the trading deadline has passed.
I feel bad for those players, but not for the team.
Can Wilson, all by himself, make up for the loss of those 2 guys on D? No. This offense simply is not built to be a scoring machine. It is built to score a medium amount of points while the D shuts people down.
Who knows if Chancellor will ever be the same. And Achilles surgery can take a long time to get over. Hard to know how much Sherman might lose as a result. Seahawks might even move on from him once he's healthy since he is sooooo expensive. They've ridden these vets for several years; but all good things come to an end.
