This is all just common sense. Anyone who has watched football knows that the run helps the pass, and that protecting the quarterback is big when it comes to success in the passing game.
Also, any quarterback, or any player for that matter will improve as they gain experience. Maybe no one quite expected the degree of success that the Rams are having, but certainly people should have expected significant improvement from last year.
I just don't get the incredulity.
