Only 60,000 there yesterday when we're (statistically) performing at GSOT levels.
LA has 13,000,000 inhabitants and whereas I know a LOT are not native, I'm struggling to understand why on earth we can not even get the stadium 2/3rds full.
When the Cleveland@Detroit, Cincinnati@Tennessee and NYG@SF games all outsell the first place, highest scoring team in the league Rams, I think there's definitely a problem.
90,000+ showed up for the return of the Rams last year so presumably there are 30,000 Rams fans out there who can afford to go to a game who aren't. Which is still a ridiculously small percentage of the 13,000,000 in the metropolitan area, not to mention the millions more within reasonable travelling distance.
The Coliseum is large but I don't think that that is a real excuse for low attendance. The key phrase: "low" attendance. Sellouts would be great but let's at least outpace some of the other bad teams in the league. The Rams coming home and with 13,000,000 people should be at a lot higher attendance and especially as the highest scoring, exciting, first place team that they are.
