Me and a friend once interviewed Hugh Millen posing as Santa Rosa Press Democrat Reporters (He played at Santa Rosa Junior College). We interviewed him for half an hour and at the end of the conversation he asks - so how did the Bearcats Look this year (that the name of the JC team), not knowing anything about them I say "There is always room for improvement" -- he says "I thought they were undefeated last year?" . . . uh yeah, stutter, "but they didn't shut everyone out . . . ".
Used to call the opposing team players at their hotel the night before "big games". Woke up Ronnie Lott multiple times in the middle of the night before games. Ah, the good old days. Before Caller ID and stalking laws . . .
