I don't know of anyone who thinks he hasn't exceeded expectations so far this year. How can anyone not? He was coming off a horrendous rookie season and learning another new offense.
In six games he's had a QB rating of at least 85.2 five times. In my opinion you can count the bad passes he's thrown so far (out of 185) on one hand. And yes, I do think playing two top-tier pass defenses the past two games have affected his numbers.
The entire offense is still growing and learning. Goff included. Long way to go. But in my view so far so good.
