Only kidding.... I just didn't read him that way.. that this year doesn't mean anything, that is. But zn can address that, should he choose to do so.
As for 'gravy'... I'm with ya, Max. For the life of me I can't see the need to rein ourselves in because things 'might' fall apart. Of course they can fall apart, that applies to every year, to elite teams... it NEVER goes away... what is important is:
And this board has VERY intelligent football fans, they know their stuff... I'm at the low end of that scale but never the less I know a little... so what is important is ARE THE RAMS PLAYING GOOD FOOTBALL OR NOT? If you REALLY know football you should be able to discern that.... not that we can't make mistakes, and do, but is this good competitive football or is it not?
I will always be biased, no question about it... but for me the difference between this team and MANY previous teams is like night and day. Good enough to make the playoffs? I don't really know... but I think a good chance that the answer to that is 'yes'.. and as a FAN... which is all that I am... I have NO PROBLEM admitting that, and celebrating this year with that in mind.
Yes they could make the playoffs. I wouldn;'t rule it out. But I am not going to sweat it either. That's not me reining myself in. I still have the same energy and enthusiasm for every game. But I cheer on Sundays and analyze on Mondays. My take, which could change, is that it's too soon for the qb and team to be consistent and stable yet.
As for figuring out what kind of team they are...you're right, I've seen it, as have you. They're good and this is real.
