It’s true that the Jags have a good pass D, including an exceptional secondary.
But it’s not true that their Run D is top drawer. In fact, it kinda sucks.

I think that McVay got a bit too cute at times with his O playcalling instead of pounding them with the running game a bit more and a lot sooner. Even Brown was having good success against them. The two Tavon runs were a waste of time. Literally. But I digress.
Thank goodness McVay came to his senses on that final magnificent drive. I think McVay gets a little bit of tunnel vision in his cutesy play calling sometimes. Hope he self scouts and corrects that.
John Robinson and John McKay understood that concept. When you’ve got a great RB and an effective OL and the running game is there, you take it. Use it until the opponent can stop it. The Jags were struggling to stop it. It’s just not that complicated, you know?
