personally I don't think they are limiting him as much as others do lol
I think he is just naturally conservative and playing not to make mistakes
I think he's seen himself directly affecting the two losses with some bad throws . rushed throws that were poor reads or plain inaacurate and he doesn't want that to become a week to week thing for team.
So if he's naturally conservate or forced conservative he knows he cannot blow games with mistakes that can be avoided .
So just stay basic and punt is better than turning the ball over is an ok result . Half the game can go that way unless you get to 2 scores behind.
Then you fling it and try to hit that big play. It's a part of basic coach and QB behavior.
Sometimes safe is going to be all they want after a game rife with errors and a loss .
I'd look it more that way than any iron clad character traits of conservatism.
