I remember heading into the 99 season we were competing with the Bengals for the title of most losingest team for the decade. We had sucked for a long time. I would go to sports bars and the one game always left off the TVs was the Rams.
Then 1999 happened. My small tv in the corner of the only place that showed the rams game went from me and two other sorry saps to being on the big screen with a whole bunch of fans by the end of the season.
1999 allowed me to forget the entire decade of suck. So one season can change the entire conversation.
I will agree that even during those horrid 90s there were some bright spots but you have to admit during Fischer ball our defense was a bright spot (which perhaps made it even more frustrating)
