I saw your headline and a powerful revulsion flared up in me.
While the team floundered, we have been consoling ourselves with draft hopes for DECADES! Year after year, there was nothing much other than the draft to talk about by the mid-way point in the season. "Well, that game sucked. This season sucks. So, about that draft next year ..." I have longed for years to have a meaningful game after Thanksgiving because we hadn't yet been eliminated. Down the stretch, we haven't had anything to hope in besides the draft.
So I see your headline and I think, "Nooo! No draft talk now! We're 3-1 and hopeful of a lot more. THIS is a good season--let's stay focused on it!"
But ... you're looking at last year's draft. OK. That's fair.
But, if I had my way, we would NOT talk 2018 draft until this season breaks down. And I am hoping it doesn't do that for months!
So RFL, who do you think we should pick in the 2018 1st round?
