I think the
vast majority of us agree - he is valuable. But at what cost? That's pretty much the bottom line. Is he worth his current salary?
I would bet that McVay is still finding ways to use him. If that lip reading was right McVay asked him "What don't you understand?". So it is fair to say that Tavon still is not up to speed. Is this due to missing preseason time and he will eventually get it? Or is he really just not that bright and will never get it?
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of yards per play with Tavon on the field vs. on the bench.
And then there is the unknowable opportunity costs. Right now I'd bet the Rams are a better overall team with his salary going towards a stud ILB or DB.
