...never got to SF for an interview, but you have to think he liked the idea of working with a very good prospect who had below average coaching and personnel around him than SF where there was no QB and even with a top 3 pick, no one really worthy unless he believed in Trubisky/Watson (assuming he has any time to scout them).

It is VERY early, but McVay and Goff are hitting it off and having early success...
