Noticed right away how Goff was dictating coverage and that was by design with McVay.
He's rebuilding Goff from the ground up and steeping him in this offense. Tailoring it to him and playing to his strengths. Not forcing a system, but implementing one.
Smart coaching.
We'll see how the rest of the season plays, but I think the days of us being out-coached are a thing of the past. McVay will be beat, but he won't be hoodwinked. I also think the culture I've been speaking of all off-season is definitely changing. That the players who were brought in to lead this team are doing so is not just a trite byline, but a major overhaul of the attitude this team brings to the field on Sunday. The vibe was just so different last week, and that has nothing to do with the opponent and everything to do with the team we had assembled on the field.
I think we're going to see some really good football this year.
