what evidence have you seen that would prove that to you?
Tavon is a hybrid of all of those positions

So, let's completely forget about where he was drafted.
And let's also completely forget about his current salary, okay?
Let's just solely focus on his team value in these 3 areas and these 3 areas only:
1) WR. Is he a more effective WR than any of Watkins, Woods, Kupp, Reynolds, or Cooper? IMO, he isn't.
2) Is he a better PR than Cooper? IMO, he isn't.
3) Is he a better RB than Gurley, Brown, or Davis? Other than as a gadget play here and there? IMO, he isn't.
Now, others may have a different opinion than mine. But I think that this Tavon issue is far more fundamental than quibbling about draft status or salary. He just doesn't measure up in the all important on field production categories.
We have better performers at WR, PR, and RB (other than an occasional trick play).
I can't make it any simpler than that.
I would love to see TA line up as a running back more often. The problems are that, 1) he almost always gets the ball when he lines up back there - not much guesswork for the D; 2) he's probably not great in pass pro; 3) he's small and presumably can't tote it much. But as a pure runner? I like him better than anyone we have.
His snafus notwithstanding, he's the best PR we have and it ain't close.
I agree w/#1, though on the screens and short crossing patterns I want to see what he can do before putting him at the end of the line going forward.
