So, let's completely forget about where he was drafted.
And let's also completely forget about his current salary, okay?
Let's just solely focus on his team value in these 3 areas and these 3 areas only:
1) WR. Is he a more effective WR than any of Watkins, Woods, Kupp, Reynolds, or Cooper? IMO, he isn't.
2) Is he a better PR than Cooper? IMO, he isn't.
3) Is he a better RB than Gurley, Brown, or Davis? Other than as a gadget play here and there? IMO, he isn't.
Now, others may have a different opinion than mine. But I think that this Tavon issue is far more fundamental than quibbling about draft status or salary. He just doesn't measure up in the all important on field production categories.
We have better performers at WR, PR, and RB (other than an occasional trick play).
I can't make it any simpler than that.
