If anyone can get Tavon going it is McVay. Having said that, what did he do yesterday? Two bubble screens and one jet sweep with several other times used as a decoy on the jet sweep. This is pretty much all we saw from Tavon last year. Is this because these are the only plays he can execute or due to his lack of preseason? We should find out over these next few games now that he is full go in practice.
As said, you can't trade him this year. Next year his dead money is $5M so it only costs $3M in cap space to keep him. But it may be possible to trade him.
The thing is, the Rams have weapons now. Even if McVay can get him to be more productive, they don't really need Tavon to produce to score points. We may find that the team will be overall better with his salary put to a guard or ILB.
It surely will be an interesting thing watch develop.
