Donald willingly signed a contract that the Rams would be delighted to honor.
The Rams openly and publicly agree that contract is outdated and openly and publicly said beforehand that if the situation led to a holdout, it was a decision they would respect.
You do not know what the hang up is. It;'s merely an assumption that the hangup is on Donald's side. Of course it would be just as much an assumption to say it was on the Rams side. Or for that matter, the assumption could be that it's just a complicated negotiation with a lot of structural issues to look at.
I don't agree with your take. I mean it's your take and you;re welcome to it...but, to me it;s a business thing, and business can be tough, Of course, this is not the first hold-out we've been through. The first I remember was Brooks and Youngblood in 1980. Then Dickerson, then Gilbert, then Faulk, then Pace. Some of those I sided with the player, some with the team, some I took no side at all.
So I just don't look at any of this the way you do. All I know is that your way of looking at it, like mine, is a judgment call and it's no more "the truth" than any other judgment call. There's no "c'mon man" as if this could be settled objectively. I respect your take on this...mine is just completely different.
Agree to disagree?
