I think we have the coaching staff to turn this around. With AD not showing and demanding a new contract is disappointing and disrespectful to his team and fans.

Do we need Aaron Donald? Arguably the best defensive player in the NFL. I think yes.
Does he think he is bigger than the Rams? Not sure what that means. Does he want out? The issue here is that he wants in and he wants to be paid what he is worth, and the Rams agree that he is worth more than his current contract.
Is AD disrespecting his team and the fans? None of us can speak for the team and we can only give our own personal opinion as fans. So far, no one on the team, players, coaches or front office, have publicly said they feel disrespected or let down by Donald's absence. Even Donald's agent has not said anything publicly about the negotiations. if you feel disrespected, then that's just how you feel.
Should Donald just play out his contract? Donald's agent and the team have publicly said they BOTH want to re-do his contract and sign him long term. So no, hitting him on the nose with a newspaper and telling him to just honor his contract is not a desirable outcome.
There are a lot of players not living up to our expectations as fans. We all want our teams to win, but they all can't, so some of us will always be disappointed, even though disappointment is inevitable. Donald on the other hand, is an exceptional player and has exceeded expectations.
You want to trade him. Cut off your nose to spite your face. Send a message to the rest of the team and all future free agents that might sign here that it doesn't matter how well you play, you only get paid what you agreed to play for. You might get a better deal as a free agent somewhere else. Plus we take a $3.2 million cap hit by trading him now.
No doubt this thread will go on for about 50 replies, but this is my one and only post. This topic has been beaten like a dead horse and I am tired of it.
