But I guess I see it differently. At least in the short term.
I hope and expect that we will get production from Sammy, Woods, the TEs and Reynolds.
However, a young QB is extremely likely to have a security blanket guy he turns to again and again. I think that is already Kupp and this could last. Sammy and possibly Reynolds will make big plays. I dunno if our TEs are ready to carry a big load.
That leaves Woods and Kupp as the guys to move the chains. Of these 2, I think Goff is really locked in on Kupp.
Over time, Goff and the offense will mature ... we hope. As that happens, perhaps your wide distribution will come about. But I'll bet that Kupp has a number of 10+ reception games early on!
Well, it doesn't really matter. I just thought it was an interesting possibility to think about.
