If AD doesn't report by game one, then it's time for hardball, dz.
That would mean that he and his pos agent have rejected a reportedly very generous offer.
No "we, not me" for AD.
My point? AD will have gone nuclear. Time to go to war. He's no longer a teammate or an asset with such a strategy, anyway.
So treat him as such. Exploit the leverage advantage to the fullest extent possible.
His other teammates? They will know that he was initially treated with respect. Even offered a generous contract TWO years early!
When he rejects all that, it's time for a divorce. Trade him away and move on.
It's doubtful that other agents or Ram players will attempt such an overreach any time soon.
As to trade value? There will be teams that will be willing to part with a king's ransom for AD's services. Both with picks and while giving him his ginormous salary. Maybe a starting caliber player, as well.
Hope all this won't become necessary. But if push comes to shove by Sept 10th, so be it. Then AD becomes dead to me as a Ram.
