I think McVay is showing that Goff has what it takes to be an NFL QB. Had Goff had the same kind of scheme, coaching, personnel and overall support last year, I think he would have been much better than he was and arguably a decent starter. A rookie starter, but at least playing like he belonged.
Martz's take seems overly critical and out of character from what I've read of him. If those are indeed his words and in context, then I agree that he's acting bitter and ignorant.
