One of the things almost all of us have taken seriously and attempted to practice is AVOIDING reading too much into 1 preseason game.
What you have done for ME is to give solid reasoning behind those admonitions "not to read to much into this." You are not projecting Goff out for his career, nor are you placing a skill cap on him, nor are you stripping him of all credit. What you've done is simply expounded more deeply upon the shallow, knee-jerk "don't read too much into preseason" pablum that any beat reporter can produce, and tried to give solid, Ram-centered reasoning BEHIND the admonition. And for ME it hasn't gone unappreciated.
Many times I think you've taken unwarranted flak for being too simplistic in your judgments, so this time you are attempting to provide justification using historical information that Rams fans will be familiar with while avoiding any insistence that history will repeat itself a la Austin Davis. Well done, but don't forget that it's hard to please everybody all the time
