that pass was
perfect.
The Raiders are a VERY good defensive team...and we moved the ball well on them.
Mannion did a real solid job with the comeback...but he had a bit too many errant throws at times.
However, that 4th down play was nails on the throw and MThomas for the catch&run.
Past Rams teams would NOT win that game last night. McVay sure has a good staff and good schemes where we should be , at least, middle of the road offense with the potential to break out - even THIS year tho I think it's more likely after a year in the system...but, at least we HAVE a system that is well designed.
Wasn't it kinda cool to have noticeable half-time adjustments on offense..and defense to slow the Raiders down a bit in the 2nd half?!!
Remember, we didn't have 2 or 3 of our starting DBs either (besides Barron, Quinn, Donald, etc).
Goff was sacked by the DMVP of the Year in KMack.
btw -
The deep pass to Kupp was NOT an easy pass, fellas. Goff was falling backwards/back foot from the pass rush...
and
still puts it out front of Kupp. It was NOT like last year's deep pass to MThomas - where MT had to slow down and drop it.
Goff has no fear - no amygdala...or missing some primal fear nodule in his brain drive...that extra missing bit of DNA!!
and so he can keep firing away come Hell...or high water. Goff's a high functioning,
sociopath (kinda like Sherlock)...it's great for football. Fearlessness. I also thot his deep out route Higbee was a VERY hard throw and was spot on...AND higbee deserves props for great feet and a solid catch. There was SOOO much to like about yesterday's game...and it will only get better the longer Goff and EVERYONE around him are in this offense.
