.... has a "combination of power and speed" while Lynch is a "power" back doesn't make Gurley better than Lynch. (And young Lynch was PLENTY fast.)
Anyway, I *really* don't want to get into whether Lynch or our guy is better. What I'm saying is that the Gurley I see now isn't the Gurley I saw a couple years ago. I don't see a nimble runner; I don't see big quicks. I see a try-hard runner, which is great far as it goes. The first-half success of the running game, in my view, was more about very good blocking than about very good running.
Like I said, I hope I'm misreading and/or that he gets better.
