Yeah he looks much like a young QB right there for sure. That look from behind the QB tells it all.
Like I said, McVay was the biggest winner last night to ME. He's schemes and play calls are amazing. As the QB grows so with the ability to hit on more stuff that comes open that's "off script" as I assure you Woods was NOT the primary read on that play, probably not the second either looking at Goff's reactions, and he's not near getting to reads 3-4 yet.
Did you see Friday night on a very similar play where Minnesota got penetration on Wilson from his left side? He floats a ball down the middle like a balloon that I was "sure" was going to be picked but instead it hits his 9th string TE in stride as he was just as wide open as Woods was here.
Experience.
Because it was obvious to ME that Sammy was his first read. He only had two receivers to that side.
But it doesn't matter, the defense tipped their hand pre-snap.
McVay was really good last night.
