Same laid back California kid persona he's had since his college days. Same thing that gets him called out as somehow mentally dull or slow or lacking in passion when events around him are not positive and are perceived as maturity and confidence when events are positive.

The one thing I've always had in Goff's plus column was combination of calm competitiveness. He is unflappable, but on the field you can see the fire that burns beneath the flaps.
