Excellent post, Rock.
Every poster brought their A game this morning, it seems.
Here's my contribution.
It all starts with the OL. With a good OL, all things are possible. And our OL is improving, isn't it? I was beyond relieved to see improvement from the right side.
Clearly, McVay speaks fluent O, huh? Open receivers all over the place. Sometimes multiple open receivers. He likes to threaten all parts of the field.
And what a group of threatening receivers we now seem to have.
Watkins
Woods
Kupp
Reynolds
Cooper
Thomas
Everett
Higbee
Gurley
All caught passes last night and looked good while doing so. Some spectacularly good. Don't look now, but we has a legit NFL passing O arsenal.
Gurley definitely came to play last night. Bodes well for the regular season.
Whit's positive impact can scarcely be overstated. He simply neutralizes his man on virtually every play. Anybody notice him help to push Gurley for about an extra 5 yards on that big run to the left side?
I am more and more thinking that Wade is pretty danged happy with his LB depth. Forrest caught my eye with a couple of good plays on one Raider 3 and out, for example. Hope Carlos Thompson is gonna be okay. He impressed vs Dallas.
Dang! We have CB's coming out of our ears, it seems. Love it.
I'll close with this...
McVay for Coach of the Year!
Too soon? Lol.
