Rams got a long way to go on the O. But if one buys into the McVay mantra of making the goal to get better each time out, then that is what I see happening.
They were better in there 2nd game than they were in their first.
Let's not forget that the Rams just played two very good teams. And that this one against the Raiders was on the road.
Goff is a very cool customer. He looks so much more calm and in control this year. Every thing he does has more of a purpose.
What bothers me is the (lack of) TE blocking. I just don't see how Hemmingway makes the team and Harkey doesn't. Harkey is the only trustworthy blocking TE we have. If I'm McVay, Hemmingway goes on the PS or maybe is even replaced by a cut-down pick up.
Our 1st string Oline did a fine job. And that included the right side.
I think we're going to see a lot of Goff to Kupp.
Everett just needs reps and seasoning and he's going to be a very good receiving TE for sure.
Mannion is going to work out just fine as a back-up. I suspect he's going to be given an opportunity to start for some team in a year or two.
As I suspected Williams seems to have supplanted Murphy as LOT. But Murphy did much better on the right side.
LOVED the catch by Reynolds. For him, 50/50 balls are really more 80/20 in his favor. He just has a knack for it. A real red zone threat and he is going to be tough to keep out of the line up.
Cooper is one tough WR. He got blasted the moment he caught a ball and hung on where a lot of players (especially our Receivers from last year) would have coughed it up.
Add a healthy Tavon Austin to this group and the Rams have some serious playmaking weapons. They're going to score some points for the first time in a long time.
Our D looks pretty deep. Cut down is going to be difficult. Some guys are going to be instantly picked up and playing elsewhere.
