I spent a lot of my youth watching the 49ers chew up defenses in the same way.
Not many wow plays. Just efficiency that, as a whole, was 'wow.'
There just aren't going to *be* a lot of 'wow' plays, I don't think, with this offense. It's not how it's being built..
This isn't going to be the Greatest Show On Turf, Vol. 2. This offense, I think, is going to be based on what Bill Walsh did - making use of every part of the field. Vertically *and* horizontally. Fairly low-risk stuff with the short passing game being an extension of the running game.
I know we're a culture based on flash and dash and show.
I prefer efficiency.
