We've all heard McVay speak to the press. Nowhere has he even hinted at what Gonzalez is implying. Because what this hack is implying is that McVay doesn't trust Goff and isn't at all sure if he want him as his triggerman and in fact that to McVay he is doubtful that Goff is the guy.
I'm telling you that this Gonzalez guy knows absolutely nothing. He is taking all the same info that all the other reporters and media has and adding in his own brand of negativism that is the hallmark of today's journalists. Ditto for that blonde bobble head of the LA Times.
If you want something much more balanced and intelligent, pay attention to Vinny B who neither sugar coats nor jumps to unwarranted dooms day conclusions. He is not Sunshine Boy nor Debbie Downer.
Like most of you I've listened to pretty much whatever McVay and Snead have had to say. And they've made it clear that Goff is in the early development stages and from a development standpoint has a long way to go. But.....Goff is the starter. Period. He has earned it. He gets better day by day. And they expect it to keep happening like that.
But is he going to start game 1 ready to rewrite the NFL record books? Heck no. Will he ever? Who knows. Is he a dead man walking or a failure? Of course not.
