Goff is not going to be handed anything.
If he plays well this season, he remains with the Rams.
If he doesn't, McVay and Co. have plenty of options at the end of next season.
Period.
Remember all those stories about how Martz hammered on Warner that first pre-season they were together?
How is this different?
McVay is putting pressure on Goff to see how he responds.
But don't think for a minute they plan on making a change
this year.
