I'm SURE he was ill-prepared, and that it's a process... my gut tells me, however, that 'getting ready' shouldn't be and is not the arduous and very time consuming task many make it out to be... or at least not for a QB who truly has the potential to be very good. What I'm saying is.. not sure where he is this year but if his game is still quite noticeably behind then it's taking too long... and I can't help but wondering if he'll ever get it IF that is true.
We don't know how long guys take though. There's no rule on that. It could be 2 years, it could be 3.
To me the issue is turning the pro techniques and reads into 2nd nature. And...a very good qb could conceivably take a long time to master that.
I just think he WILL make it but that we will find out how long it takes, after it's done.
