Am I the only one, almost FORTY years later, who can watch it and still feel the excitement again when the Rams get the late on side kick?? LOL As if the outcome was gonna be different???
I remember watching that game alone in our living room.My Mom and Dad were separated at the time and my Mom has always HAAAATED football. I was 10 years old. When the last pass by Haden was intercepted to end the game, I recall kicking the TV stand. I was FURIOUS! Though I became a fan the season before, that's the first time I recall fuming after a Rams loss. Mom yelled from the other room....."YOU BETTER SIMMER DOWN, YOUNG MAN!!!" I even remember what I was wearing...My Lawrence McCutcheon #30 Sears catalog jersey! The next week, I remember watching Dallas beat Minny at my Dad's place. I was thinking ...The Rams could've been there!!
