McVay's offense in Washington was not good in the red zone...
I hope that trend changes here in LA.
I may be in the minority but frankly I didn't like a slow developing rub route with so little room to maneuver in the middle of the field.
Anybody notice that it was a linebacker who hit Woody and caused the fumble?
No action moved the lb out of his drop.
IMO and its just an opinion you want to run that route to the outside there against that defense.
Two guys went outside, Woody cuts inside behind them.
Lb has a bead on the play.
I wanna see McVay's play calling improve in close.
Everybody including Sean McVay need to improve IMO.
McVay does have his flaws and still being
green behind the horns, he better be aware of his past failures from 2016.
I want to believe he will refine his play design/calls in the
redzone.
I hope Matt LaFleur gets in Sean's ear with some of Shanny's innovative vision and concepts for some of the plays called in the redzone.
(and in the run game concepts)I'm guessing
LaFleur is pretty much the only coach on the offensive side of the ball that could get McVay's attention and convince him to make adjustments if bad trends begin to develop.
