The Rams don't seem to be saving any money by redoing his contract early.
My personal opinion is that you don't pay any player that amount of money other than the franchise QB. On the other hand if you do, he better be a special player who can take over a game.
I don't think the Rams can really win or lose... so to me it doesn't really matter. I am leaning toward a trade, mostly to save the money but if they do sign him that's fine too.
