I have gone to every game so far in LA, preseason and regular season, and there was one thing that was different about Saturday that gave me a modicum of hope.
I have a seat at midfield, and watching the Rams last year the most frustrating thing I saw that plagued them virtually every game was the lack of wide receivers getting "open." I would see the other team's offense and there were always places to throw the ball (Atlanta was truly frightening), but when the Rams were on offense it was extremely rare that any receiver was truly open. Both Keenum and Goff, to complete passes, had to fit the ball in to Britt or Quick or Austin because they were always covered. It made throwing the ball so much more challenging, because you had to throw it somewhere but there were never any really good choices.
But watching the game on Saturday, guys were open! Geez, did you see Kupp on that crossing pattern? There were places to throw the ball all game. Woods on the TD play, Cooper on the 3rd down conversion, and throughout the game guys were getting open. I don't know if it was the route combinations, the new receivers, the coaching, or just pedestrian defense from Dallas' second and third stringers (likely I know), but it was a welcome change. IF the Rams receivers can continue to get open and catch the ball, I think this offense will be miles ahead of last year's on this ground alone. Having a competent left tackle will only make things that much easier for Goff.

Yup........and that was without SAMMY WATKINS on the field
Amazing that the quick slant is a play in an NFL playbook
