So yup i get it
Also so many of these talking heads are absolutely trashing Goff that I think its gotten to even you (one of his biggest advocates)
What I'm looking for tonight is McVay's influence on him. We arent going to see much but I'm looking to see what several of the media folks have said thus far during camp.
Next week and week 3 is where I'm going to expect more than that
It's a first pre-season game with very little significance.
Goff has a long slow upward climb to being a consistent franchise qb, and what happens this pre-season is just one step.
In terms of what the nationals think, enh. Remember 99, after the Faulk trade, and the nationals were trashing Faulk? One repeated line was he's a finesse runner, he can't run up the middle.
And a lot of us said...hunh, what? of course he can. You don't have to be a power back to run up the middle of a defense.
We know the Rams better than any national sports media type does. And it's the same with Goff.
Tonight, it will just be fun to see Rams football again. That's all I have going for this one.
If there's some big item that occurs that has people talking and debating, I plan on ignoring it. 3 months from now no one will even remember what it was about.
Enjoy the game guys. A chance to see some of the depth chart. As for Goff, my view is, it's one small step, and only that.
