The dude frequently plowed his way forward carrying tacklers with him.
He wasn't just on bad teams but he had few O lines that were even mediocre.
He was no Sanders in terms of shiftiness and no Dickerson in terms of style, but he was just an old fashioned beast of a running back and I'd swap a 23-year-old Jackson for Gurley in a lot less time than a heartbeat.
And have we ever seen a man grow up so publicly? From being a whiny petulant kid behind Marshall to taking full responsibility for the offense.
A class act in every sense imho.

but he was durable and put up many good years and had longevity and is #18 on all-time rushing yards which is a pretty good accomplishment.
18th all-time in rushing on garbage teams?
Do YOU know how many rb's have played in the NFL?
To be 18th is more than "pretty good"
Its a "personal like dislike" which is evident when you talk about 8-9 in the box regarding Gurley.
Well... meet Steven Jackson...he saw that his entire career.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
