See the problem is, neither of these two were jettisoned due to injury concerns. They were given numerous opportunities to succeed and failed....miserably.
Might one or both carve a niche out and hang around the league a few more years? Sure. But neither was worthy of where the Rams drafted them and, in Quick's case it's embarrassing to think Snead used the 33rd overall pick on a guy soooo far away from being ready to contribute back when the Rams desperately needed a wr who could come in and at least lineup and give some contribution.
Grob(ber) OTOH, had the advantage of being an SEC guy which pulled the wool of Snishers eyes to all his fatal flaws.
I could "line up" at LT. Does that mean I AM a LT? Nope. No more than this cat.
I have no doubt both of these two will wash out again...and again. And I for one am so happy I don't have to hear "holding...#73 offense..." or hear the "doink" of a football off the helmet of an empty cranium ever again!
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
