Histrionics aside I really don't.
First of all I asked from one year to the next by a "rookie rb" that would comprise his rookie and sophomore seasons
only.
So including Bettis' third year where he didn't get carries and it was clear his time as a Ram was ending just muddies up the conversation.
Secondly I also included this which is paramount to the discussion...

Bettis also still reached the 1k yard mark which is/was the benchmark for a rb. Gurley did not.
So NO, I don't see it.
