No he's not much of a football fan-at least American style football. He does follow soccer. His glass blowing-from a scientific standpoint-is well known throughout the U.S. Some of his work has made it onto more than one spacecraft. His lab is interesting. I'm his best -and possibly-his only friend and yet he constantly is yelling at me while I'm wandering around the lab. So many burners, ovens, wires, piping, gas lines, etc. It's actually quite a scary place. He thinks I will trip and somehow burn down the campus. If you google the glass blower at UCI you can get a good idea as to what goes on in that classroom (lab).
We do a lot of diving together and will be out at the islands off So Cal later this week.
