Just because they haven't come to terms doesn't necessarily mean the Rams are low balling Donald. Maybe Donald is asking too much. Maybe they agree on money but can't figure out terms (length of contract, guarantee, bonuses, etc.).
Unless I missed it there hasn't been anything credible printed that says the Rams are offering a below-market contract.
To be fair AR, the Rams should be offering Donald a salary that makes him the highest pad DT in the NFL. He's been dominant from the moment he stepped on the field on day one. If they are offering him anything less than that, they are low-balling him.
On the other hand, TA barely produces at all. To be fair, HIS salary should have been based on his being a kick return specialist more than anything, yet his contract seems to have been the result of conjecture and mindless infatuation.
Quite simply, Austin has been a bust; Donald has been a home run.
