that article was harsh to read
plenty of truth in it
but harsh
it may be a couple seasons before I wash that Falcon game out of head
on the bright side I think that they agreed in the front office that if McVay couldn't get Goff on track, there probably really wasn't another bet as good in the NFL to make it happen, either. you get a young coach who is fine communicator and shaping the system to fit the Cal kid's toolset, is keen to offensive nuances, etc
one would think having set the conversation there, that the front office had to acknowledge to McVay that if the kid is larger project and may not be the elite player they were forecasting that they'd give the coach a shot at a QB who does have the right stuff.
I do wonder about Woods working on making his physique a top priority. Not a football issue, but using methods to strengthen, and quicken his program.
the one spot I challenge here is their look at Austin. I don't think Austin's shortcomings are a result of misuse or coaching. Just plain think he's limited, and under duress in the backfield it's really hard to find a guy 5ft 7" in the mayhem. And more than anything those 2 pieces have made Tavon a issue for 2018
