He's dead on about the union IMO

Now it's true that the guaranteed contracts that we see a lot of are not part of the agreement between the players union and the NBA but players ARE leveraging teams to get those guarantees. Not all of them of course, but nobody in the NFL is doing it because there isn't a megastar leveraging them. Dickerson is right.

The dollar amount is simply a silly point, they play 82 games not 16.
