You're right OAK and WAS were bad teams then but winning two games 76-0 in the NFL is never easy or anything to apologize for. After those two shutouts the Rams were 20-24-1 under Fisher (.456) even though backup QBs had started 22 of those 45 games. Very respectable. They'd become one of those "any given Sunday" teams- also having beaten Denver two weeks before.
Then... they fell apart just as fast. They laid a massive egg at home against a Cardinals team with Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley playing QB... Played an embarrassingly undisciplined home game looking like thugs the following week (on 10 days rest) vs. the NYG. And limped to the finish line (less than 250 yards offense) at SEA. 8-8 became 6-10.
After those shutout wins Fisher would go 11-21 (.344) the rest of his tenure. Fisher's Rams peaked on Dec. 7, 2014.
